AUTUMN TRENDS

Here at Magnolia the Florist we love it as the cold, crisp months roll in after warm hazy summer days. Out come the woolly jumpers, log fires and Yorkshire pudding is back on the menu! Being based in Kettering, at the heart of Northamptonshire, we are spoilt with local countryside and pretty little villages to explore when the trees turn the world  beautiful shades of orange and reds.

FLOWER TRENDS FOR AUTUMN 2018

Autumn also brings a new inspiring range of seasonal flowers for us to work our creative charm with, and we regularly update our website with new bouquets and seasonally trends. The blooms of the Autumn season come in a selection of shades; rich jewel tones in plums, velvety  teal, rustic orange and vibrant reds. Blooms in these stunning shades include burgundy Ranunculus and anemones, 'Black Baccara' roses, Scabiosa ‘Blackberry Scoop’ and deeper tones of amaryllis.

Forest green foliage, copper painted twigs and pine cones all add to the style and rustic woodland feel of Autumnal bouquets. A big trend this year will be the use of copper shades, which has over taken the trend from last year of rose gold. Pick up a metal copper vase or pot, perfect indoors to display blooms and greenery.

COLOUR TRENDS FOR AUTUMN 2018

Earlier this year, Pantone named Ultra Violet as the colour of 2018 and described it as “dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade”. We have seen this shade become a popular choice with Weddings this summer, and we think it will remain popular throughout Autumn/Winter period. Check out our beautiful and bang on trend Lambeth bouquet, which has a contemporary Autumn feel created with Roses in ‘Ultra Violet’ shade, pretty lilacs and Lilies with a touch of burgundy.

Pantone also shortlisted their 10 favourite Autumn 2018 colour palette, including Valiant Poppy, Russet Orange and Limelight Yellow. Our Blackberrie hand-tie ticks all the autumn boxes – designed with luxury red and yellow toned roses, vibrant orange germini, red berries and deep green foliage. The perfect thank you bouquet, home warming present or simply to brighten up your home on these dark Autumn evenings. We are totally in love with this design from our new bouquet range!
